The guy who penned "Benghazi Mom" Patricia Smith's speech at the Republican National Convention published an essay renouncing Donald Trump in the Baltimore Sun on Thursday.The speechwriter, Richard J. Cross III, may have written Smith's speech that blamed Hillary Clinton for the death of Smith's son in the 2012 Benghazi attack, but he is considering voting for Clinton in the upcoming election."President Eisenhower would have never proposed banning Muslims from America," Cross writes in his op-ed. "Nor would President Nixon. Nor would President Reagan. Donald Trump has betrayed and perverted their legacies. Consequently, I no longer recognize my party.
