Watch the Video for Rust & Dust's "Lago" ft. Mito

Melancholic deep house, in a video possibly inspired by South Korean cinema.

Rust & Dust are Eastmask and Mang Esilo's musical collaboration, and the brains behind "Lago" featuring Mito – a melancholic deep house track tuned like Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" but far less horrifying, and truly pleasant to your ears. The duo originates from South Korea, but apparently travels back and fourth between Seoul and Berlin all the time, which seems absolutely exhausting. The project Rust & Dust is about the organic sounds and vibrations of nature, which makes sense and is perhaps why these guys are running around in nature in this sweet video. Continuing on the movie theme, this video happens to bring my thoughts to South Korean cinema. Rust & Dust have managed to capture that shade of grey (I had to) that South Korean films typically have. And the grey fits perfectly with Rust & Dust’s dark sound. I'm certainly looking forward to more of this style in both music and videos to come.

Video directed by Seungkyun Hong, "Lago" ft. Mito is available over at Spotify, Beatport and Deezer and is out now via House Music With Love. Keep up with Rust & Dust here.
