Looks Like Olga Kurylenko Is About to Join the Majors

Earlier this year, VICE Films and Grolsch Film Works teamed up with the directors Harmony Korine, Alexey Fedorchenko and Jan Kwiecinski to make a three-part film called The Fourth Dimension. Now, Grolsch Film Works have a new website where you can find out what they’ve been up to and read/watch interesting stuff about films. Every week we'll be plucking the highlights. This is that.

You get the feeling that Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko hasn't yet had her due. The 33-year-old ex-model has lit up a dead-eyed videogame adaptation (Hitman), the most disappointing Bond of the Craig era (Quantum Of Solace), and now the middling Terrence Malick film To the Wonder, in which she is – comfortably – the best thing. Largely improvised, and whittled down from hours of footage, Wonder sees her fret and float around a desolate Oklahoma town as Ben Affleck's (and, you sense, Terrence Malick's) European muse. In person, she's more than professionally enthusiastic about the film, and why not? Minor Malick is still Malick, and with sci-fi blockbuster Oblivion just around the corner, she could be about to join the majors.
