Is it OK to Hate Posh People?

Why is he even being "posh-bashed" anyway, he wondered aloud to himself in an interview recently with the Radio Times? After all, he mused, in a rousing, braying soliloquy, it wasn't even as if he was "born into land or titles, or new money, or an oil rig".

He's even considering moving to the US for an extended holiday from British class prejudice, because as everyone knows, class doesn't exist in America – probably because the poor tend to die on the streets from lack of health insurance or something.

Is "posh-bashing" out of control? Is it OK to hate posh people? Shemilla, works in a hotel: No, I don't have anything against posh people. This is really awkward. Max, promoter: I suppose it's OK to hate anyone, isn't it? I know plenty of nice posh people and I know plenty of not too nice posh people. You can't segregate. Yeah, it's just like anything in life isn't it? I just take people as they come. If a posh person knocked you over in the street, is it OK to hate that posh person?

It's the same if anyone knocks you over. I wouldn't hate someone just because they were posh. Calvin, graphic designer: I think it is, due to their sense of entitlement. Probably a bit of jealousy in there as well. So, posh people are deluded?
Yeah a bit, they've got a warped sense of reality. It's only natural give the way they're brought up. Pete, area manager: Definitely, they tend to be really snobby. I work in the service industry and they just tend to look at you like a piece of crap. They need a reality check. Bit of a kicking?
