When VICE started out in the UK we didn’t really have much of a budget to pay for famous photographers. We relied on young snappers who wanted to have their work published, as well as a handful of established names who, for god knows what reason, were happy to help us out.
Over the years, those photographers grew up, got famous and moved away, but they never stopped popping in to the office and giving us their amazing photos.
These days, we work with some big names and agencies, mainly to make ourselves feel grown up. However, this is a gallery of work from the core of VICE UK’s best regular photographers who still save our arses on a daily basis with pictures of rappers, drunk people, criminals, parties, police and war zones.We have no idea what these pictures say about the world.ALEX STURROCK (www.alexsturrock.com)
