Grolsch Film Works Premiered David Altobelli's 'Independence'

Watch it, it's great and short.

LA-based filmmaker David Altobelli is best known for his music videos, having worked with the likes of Cults, Hammock, Sia, Philip Selway and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O on the heart-rending Abandoned. Now, he is teaming up with Grolsch Film Works and releasing his first short film, Independence, as part of their Shorts Series.

Independence is a story about the passage of time suspended in nowheresville, America. In Altobelli's own words: "The film plays out like a song on the piano in front of us, transporting us somewhere unknown and then returning to a familiar place.” If you're a short filmmaker and feeling inspired after watching Independence, you can enter Grolsch Film Works' Shorts Showcase competition where you can win the chance to be nominated for the 2014 San Francisco International Film Festival.
