So we’ve started a podcast series, and to kick it off we had a chat with Cody Wilson, the founder of Defense Distributed and subject of the recent VICE documentary Click, Print, Gun. The doc explores Cody’s efforts to manufacture automatic weapons on 3D printers in the privacy and comfort of your own home and the shit-show of unbridled gun access that could follow once he and others perfect the process. “Gun control… is a fantasy,” Cody tells VICE’s Eddy Moretti, who sat down with the upstart gun-maker for this week’s podcast. Watch the interview to hear Cody respond to some of the 15,000 comments Click, Print, Gun has garnered on YouTube, and to hear why Cody thinks it’s an “inviolable right” for anyone who can afford a 3D printer to own their very own, home-made AK-47.
Watch and enjoy! And tune in each following Tuesday for Eddy’s interviews with more of the musicians, writers, artists, actors, and designers who are shaking up the world and appearing in the pages and documentaries of VICE. Next week, Eddie dishes with everyone’s favorite chef-superstar, Eddie Huang.
