Earlier this year, VICE Films and Grolsch Film Works teamed up with the directors Harmony Korine, Alexey Fedorchenko and Jan Kwiecinski to make a three-part film called The Fourth Dimension. Now, Grolsch Film Works have a new website where you can find out what they’ve been up to and read/watch interesting stuff about films. Every week we'll be plucking the highlights. This is that.
AN INTERVIEW WITH BRENDAN CANNING
Guess who we bumped into at TIFF? …Broken Social Scene co-founder Brendan Canning (twice, as it happens). After he finished his DJ set at the Grolsch Film Works Discovery Award ceremony, Brendan sat down for a beer with us to chat about scoring the new Lindsay Lohan film,The Canyons, which was written by Bret Easton Ellis and directed by Paul Schrader. TIFF 2012: PARTY HIGHLIGHTS
So, this year's Toronto International Film Festival was basically one gigantic party for filmmakers, film lovers and film industry types.
While we were out and about snapping this famous actor and that famous director, we met and chatted to some of the most interesting people known to, well, anyone who knows anything about cinema. So many people, in fact, that we tried to snap as many as we could just so we wouldn’t forget them. Having said that, a few of the faces below aren’t exactly ones you’re likely to forget. Time to star spot again.
AN INTERVIEW WITH BRANDON CRONENBERG
Amid all the hustle and bustle at this year's Toronto Film Festival we managed to sit down with Brandon Cronenberg for a chat about his debut film Antiviral, which is an intriguing horror/sci-fi of sorts. Some of you keen cinephiles out there might recognise his surname. Are the bells ringing yet? Yes, he is of course the son of veteran Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg (Cosmopolis). Here Brandon talks about his first film, celebrity obsession and the whole TIFF experience.
