Earlier this week, we published some photos of British people looking heartwarmingly incapable of dealing with the heat – and then some mates from warmer countries gave us tips on how to suck it up and enjoy feeling like we’re about to melt. But the fact that some people are more used to feeling the sun on their skin than others, doesn’t mean heatwaves don’t often make them wish for snowstorms.

Greece is currently dealing with a heatwave – as it does every, single, summer since what feels like its inception. Why’d you think all the ancient people walked around wearing airy pieces of cloth? Anyway, being warm is perfect when you ‘re lying on the beach of some Greek island with a cocktail clenched in your fist. When you’re stuck in an office in Athens making #content, the situation is a little less dreamy – or so our friends at VICE Greece say. Photographer Panos Kefalos walked around to see how Athenians are surviving the hours before the first evening breeze sets in.
