Scandinavia - A Big Boner For Art

We thought we’d let you know about this group exhibition opening in Stockholm tomorrow night. It features 34 non-boring artists, including Vice favourites Ragnar Persson (he shot the cover of our last Photo Issue) and the hilarious Japanese Andy Warhol lookalike, Twotom, who likes sadistic bunny boys. We phoned up Tony Cederteg, one of the curators, and got talking about boners and beer.

VICE: What’s up with the title "ANYONE GOT WOOD" and why is there a penis on the invite? Do you have a boner because the art is so good?
Yes, exactly.

Annons

Who gives you the biggest boner then?
Yuval Pudik, an Israeli artist who lives in LA. He’s great, he creates his own worlds where man and machine are merged together. His stuff is hard, but not in a mechanical way. I published a fanzine with him a while back and he did a swastika made of fists for the cover. Since he’s Jewish he was shit scared that his grandparents would see it.

Why should people visit the show?
Good question. Apart from the art, we offer big windows, a lot of boners and music from my iPod.

Will there be free beer at the opening?
No, but it's cheap. I’m cheap too. They are also selling exclusive prints by French, who makes the best Nordic looking non-Nordic illustrations ever. And they’re cheap too!
