Watch James Murphy Behind The Scenes On The Set Of His Movie 'Little Duck'

Former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy has been shooting a short movie in Japan and here's his exclusive on set tour.

Two years on and we still feel a twinge of sadness when we remember that LCD Soundsystem is done. Thankfully, there was never a chance that James Murphy was going to drop off the face of the planet and do nothing. Apart from producing a track on the recent Yeah Yeah Yeahs record, James has been busy over in Japan shooting short film Little Duck, which will premiere in New York at Canon's Project Imaginat10n Film Festival this October.

The film co-stars Japanese actor and musician Kaneko Nobuaki, and focuses on "a young man pulled from his life in Manhattan back to his home in rural Japan when his estranged brother runs into trouble." James was handpicked by director Ron Howard, while the plot was inspired by ten photos submitted by contest winners. Jamie Foxx, Eva Longoria, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone were also selected to direct short movies for this project.

Check out this exclusive behind the scenes video of a beardy James on the set in Japan. He rides a small bike, enthuses about snack time, and delivers wry commentary from the director's chair. There's definitely a sense that he can't quite believe his luck.
