Hey Australia, aren’t you supposed to be all about wearing flip-flops every day of the year and terrible Delta Goodrem ballads? Guys? I’m kidding; while not exactly the world’s hub of indie talent, you can curb your snobbery for a second because this new offering from Aussie “psych rock troupe” (wtf?!) Tame Impala is really, really great.
The first single from forthcoming album Lonerism, “Apocalypse Dreams” is an anthemic, piano-bashing soundtrack to skipping across a rolling countryside, before collapsing under the clouds thinking out loud about, “How big the world is bro… HEY, I LOVE YOU GUYS!!1!!1”
