Yellow Ostrich is my favourite band of the morning. This video came across my desk about an hour ago and I freaked out so hard that I had to buy Spotify premium so I could listen to Strange Land (their recent record on Barsuk) without advertisements. This video for their whining, jangly indie-pop banger “Marathon Runner” is basically my idealised childhood, the one where me and a cute girl ran around in masks and lit everything on fire in super slow-motion, not the one where I played Advanced Dungeons & Dragons at the JCC and crushed on the stitched up girl from Nightmare Before Christmas (mega babe).
