Excited to be back in Tokyo, Pharrell heads to Ambush Design where he reconnects with Verbal and Yoon as they recount their own experiences on 3/11. They depict a scene of rolling blackouts, barren grocery store shelves, and a mass exodus of frightened foreigners from Tokyo. They reflect on the media blackout that followed the Fukushima meltdown and the role nuclear power plays in Japanese society.From there he travels an hour outside of Tokyo to meet up with Yuka Uchida from Trippple Nippples. They head below ground to explore the hidden G-Cans Project. Also known as the “underground temple,” it is a massive structure made up of 6 kilometers of tunnels that protect Tokyo from the rains during monsoon season.
