Panda To Sochi

Panda to Sochi: Day 4 on video

A roadtrip without some offroad-action is not a roadtrip. And a trip without the epiphany is not a trip... Guys, we met Jesus!

When we were actually still digesting our swiss cheese fondue, we found ourselves on the road to Oberammergau. A very special town in Bavaria in the Ammergauer Alps. These alps are not only the birthplace of the [famous snowboard-brand „Nitro“](http:// nitrous.com)—moreover, they are the resurrection of Christ.

About 110 years ago the inhabitants of this bavarian place built a theatre, to stage the passionplay. Because in the year 1634, after 80 people died in the matter of the plague, they build it on their graves. Now there are more than 2000 actors staging in this 9 hours play and the rehearsal time goes up to one year. The inhabtitants let them grow hair and beards (BTW: this could be a good simpsons episode). Ten years ago our theatre-tour-guide Frederic was already nailed on the famous cross.

A place, where everyone really knows each other, young to old are sharing changing-rooms and hopefully a good salary.

This place really feels like family, also because we have to sleep in a hay-hotel and stay all in one big room full of hay.

But one after the other. Where Nitro is at home, there is Snowboard-Fun of course and that‘s why our rider Markus Keller took the kicker together with other Nitro team-members.

Take a look at all this awesome photos.
