This Suicidal Tendencies Shirt Costs $3,000
A few weeks ago my head exploded and the internet stopped when I saw one of these original Suicidal Tendencies shirts on eBay for $3,000. Unsurprisingly, the shirt belonged to Dan Clements, the singer of Excel. In case you aren’t familiar, Excel made up the Holy Trinity of Venice, CA hardcore with No Mercy and Suicidal. Full story

Lance Mountain Kind of Led a Skateboard Tour of New York
Nike SB organized a kind-of walking tour with the release of Eric Koston’s second Nike shoe. I say kind of since I barely knew what the hell was going on, and felt the same as when I first tried to play an RPG, led around, hoping to end up somewhere cool. Full story

The First Chain of Strength Interview in 20 Years Is Mostly About Clothes
For over ten years, I've had a running argument--usually when I’m not sober--about what the best straight edge 7-inch is. It was determined the other night that Chain of Strength’s True Till Death EP is. They win the argument based on several factors including font selection, ove… Full story

My Parents Are Probably Hoarders
My parents are hoarders. I didn’t know this growing up, or when I left for college, or even years after graduating. The realization only came to me when I had to clean out their horrid basement. Full story

Baseball: America’s Racist Pastime
Brandon Phillips got really pissed earlier this week when Pittsburgh Pirate Jared Hughes plunked him. Baseball players get “unintentionally” hit all the time, but Brandon got extra heated and alleged that Jared called him “boy” during the altercation. Full story

Animal Chin Changed Skateboarding Three Times
I watched The Search for Animal Chin for the billionth time recently and nothing changed. The dialog was still goofy, the acting awkward, and the “plot” scattered. But that’s OK. We’re not talking about auteur cinema here; it’s a fucking skate video—albeit one of the most legenda… Full story

Big Surprise - At WAR with SABR
Right now the leading candidates for MVP in both the American League and National League make less than one million dollars… combined. Mike Trout is leading all of baseball with a WAR of +9.3 and Andrew McCutchen third at +6. What the fuck is WAR? It stands for Wins Above Replace… Full story

I Talked to Manny Santiago About Skateboarding, Swords, Gangs, and Lowell, MA
Born in Puerto Rico, professional skateboarder Manny Santiago got started on the Lowell streets. Manny is always animated and seldom seen without an ear-to-ear grin, accentuated by his missing front tooth. He took some time to tell us about samurai sword attacks and growing up in… Full story
