The Best Music Videos Featuring an American Flag

It's the Fourth of July, which means only two things: parties and America.

It's the Fourth of July, which means only one thing: parties. Okay, two things: parties and America. So naturally, we decided to round up the best music videos featuring the Stars and Stripes hanging proud.

Green Day, American Idiot

I'm a big fan of Green Day's washed out, green-filtered version of our nation's flag. Fun side story, the band considered desecrating the American flag in this video, declaring in an interview, "It means nothing to me, let's burn the fucking thing."

Of course they decided against it, after drummer Tre Cool pointed out "Isn't it, like, illegal?" Lil Wayne was not so cautious.

Bruce Springsteen, Born in the USA

Old Glory makes a brief cameo in the beginning of this video, and then the rest is just Bruce in a bandana at the mic, looking like the Boss he is. But I had to include in this list anyway, because obviously.

Lana Del Rey, Born To Die

We open with Lana Del Rey wearing nothing but a two-finger ring, embracing a very tatooed shirtless man in front of the American flag. Enough said.

Lenny Kravitz, American Woman

Maybe the most impressive thing about this video is the sheer amount of screen time devoted to the Stars and Stripes, right down to the woman (is that Heather Graham?) driving the red white and blue convertable down the streets of America.

Kid Rock, "American Badass"

I have to respect Kid Rock for doubling down so hard on trying to look like a rebel redneck. I mean, he's on a motorcycle in a red fur coat in this video, singing, "They call me cowboy, badass in black, I put Detroit city back on the map." Do they call him that? His real name is Robert James Ritchie and he's from Romeo, Michigan…

Miley Cyrus, Party in the U.S.A.

No matter how much you love to hate on Miley, can you really resist her when she's nodding her head like yeah, moving her hips like yeah? Plus, if you're at an actual party in the USA and this song comes on, it's pretty epic. Especially on the Fourth of July.
