Scuba Diver Retrieves Three Iron Rory McIlroy Threw into Pond

A man went scuba diving and retrieved the three iron Rory McIlroy tossed into the pond on the eighth hole at the WGC on Friday.

On Friday, Rory McIlroy whipped his three iron into the pond on the par-5 eighth hole at the WGC Cadillac Championship after hooking his second shot into the very same drink. He was obviously upset with himself, but it was practical anger. McIlroy said it wasn't his best moment, but it didn't really hurt him for the remainder of the round.

"It was heat of the moment, and if it had been any other club, I probably wouldn't have, but I didn't need a 3-iron for the rest of the round, so I thought why not."

Still, Rory will probably need that three iron at some point and, who knows, maybe a croc or a gator would try to eat it and die or something, so a man in scuba gear went diving for it and emerged victorious, club in hand.
