Aaron Hernandez's Lawyer Made a Dumb Deflategate Joke

Aaron Hernadez's lawyer made a bad joke in the middle of a murder trial. Here's the video of the bad joke he made in the middle of a murder trial.

It is a universal, well-known fact that lawyers are not funny people. Even if lawyers didn't fall victim to that stereotype, cracking jokes during a murder trial is definitely not the place to try out your stand-up skills. And even if you are confident enough in your comical capabilities to pull off such a stunt, making a joke about the alleged guilt of an organization affiliated with the defendant you are trying to prove is innocent is even further discouraged. Aaron Hernandez's lawyer, however, did not get that memo in Court Room Ethics 101. Instead, his defense attorney James Sultan made the bold move to question a Massachusetts state trooper about his knowledge on how to deflate footballs, which no party within the court room found amusing. Not only did Mr. Sultan further prove that lawyers are not funny, but he also committed a serious crime in trying to revive a joke that was so last week. Squeezing deflated balls is funny, murder is not.
