Horse-drawn carriages. Those words probably conjure up images of big country weddings; or Robert Downey Jr being a steampunk Sherlock Holmes; or any number of TV characters taking winter rides through Central Park in big coats.What they probably don't bring to mind is Blackpool, the faded Vegas of Britain's north. But horse-drawn carriages are big business in the seaside resort, with a number of operators charging £20 a pop for a 20-minute ride down the promenade to Pleasure Beach.
