On Saturday night, Cafe Romantica served its very last fettucine. Sad, sad times. The much-loved 24-hour haunt was one of Melbourne's favourite destinations, serving its devoted punters pizzas, pastas, booze, and sorberts into the early mornings for more than thirty years. Not too mention being one of few venues to consistently have charm and character and a crowd so diverse in age you'd think you were at a family member's 60th.The East Brunswick staple—which we all imagined would be around forever—also served as the inspiration for and namesake of Andras and Oscar's second album. As well as being a frequented spot for Melbourne musicians and artists. In rememberance, here's a little tbt to the time the duo played at a Romantica open mic night, captured by Thump.
