A Ukrainian state security officer was killed in Sloviansk, a day after pro-Russia gunmen stormed police and administration buildings in three new eastern Ukrainian towns.Ukrainian authorities announced a "counter-terrorism operation" against the gunmen, who are calling for a Crimea style-referendum in Ukraine's east, but Ukrainian troops fled Sloviansk after a gunfight with unknown militants left one of their men dead and a number of others wounded.VICE News was at the scene of the shootout and a video dispatch is coming soon.
