Dale Weise isn't one to crack the highlight reels very often (or ever), but when he does, he makes sure it's for an absurd reason.Like this ridiculous assist he delivered on Thursday during the first period of Philadelphia's 5-4 win over Vancouver. There have been some praiseworthy assists this season—Auston Matthews setting up Leo Komarov comes to mind—but the combination of coordination, focus, and stick skill required to execute this is off the charts.After Sean Couturier sent an errant pass across the ice, Weise turned a broken play into a beautiful goal with some hand-eye coordination and a little bit of luck. Kicking the bouncing puck, somehow, up into the air, Weise then forcefully (yet gracefully) batted the biscuit out of the air toward Travis Konecny, who promptly deposited his seventh of the year past a dizzy Ryan Miller.There has been more than a few beautiful skate-to-stick moves over the years and a fair share of NHLers have batted in some unreal baseball-style goals this season alone. Can't say we've ever seen it all come together on a single goal like this, though.With only three assists in 39 games this season, one third of Weise's helpers are play-of-the-year candidates—that's gotta be the highest ratio in the NHL.[Sportsnet]
