How Joe Carter Got Caught Up in the Meek Mill/Drake Beef

Toronto Blue Jays World Series hero Joe Carter has found his way into the middle Drake and Meek Mill's beef.

Rappers Drake and Meek Mill are beefing.

How is this sports, you ask? Because Blue Jays World Series hero Joe Carter is now involved—sort of.

After Meek Mill dissed Drake in a series of tweets, the Toronto-born rapper responded with a couple of tracks. Our friends at Noisey have more.

Drake's first diss track, "Charged Up", was followed with the more aggressive "Back to Back Freestyle" in which Drake put Carter on the cover for. Carter, of course, hit a walk-off homer in Game 6 of the 1993 World Series to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies and power the Blue Jays to their second consecutive title. Hence, the back-to-back reference. Meek Mill is also from Philadelphia. Drake is clever and likes sports.

Carter, best known for that ninth-inning blast off Mitch Williams, showed some love back for Drizzy.

I have officially made it now!!! Thanks to my man @drake. I'm honored bro. #BackToBack. pic.twitter.com/TH8VLuPAMQ
