Last night, the final episode of The Late Show with David Letterman aired on CBS. The show began with clips of former presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush repeating Gerald Ford's famous, "Our long national nightmare is over," ending with President Barack Obama saying, "Our long national nightmare is over. Letterman is retiring." Then Letterman popped up next to him to say, "You're just kidding… right?"
