Kyle Scully's Photographs Make British Columbia Look Even More Gorgeous

When I think of the west coast, I always think about Kyle Scully's photographs. A man with very few indoor photographs, the BC greenery seems to be the perfect backdrop for his photos. Almost surreal at times, his photographs seem to be about the 'bigger picture'- always ensuring that the land in which he stands is included in the frame. The wanderlust seems to work for him and his rangefinders, as his natural-light soaked images never feel forced or unnecessary- everything is on purpose. His working mandate of long bike rides mixed with a few beers provides his work with a natural ease that can make the most devote 'concrete-jungle' folk envious. Toss in a few good-looking friends for posterity and you've got a great series of photographs.
