Fresh Mushroom Pappardelle and Sicilian Street Food

After filling up on wine and tequila, we woke up Matty and his friends Fabio and Michael and dragged them out to an Italian suburb of Toronto, where they foraged for mushrooms in the woods.

For the third episode of Hangover Cures, our completely unhinged food show, Matty visited Michael Sangregorio and Fabio Bondi, the owners of a great Italian spot in Toronto called Local Kitchen. The next morning, after filling up on wine and tequila for far too many hours at Local, and later at Midfield Wine Bar, we woke up Matty, Fabio, and Michael and dragged them to an Italian suburb called Woodbridge. Once we were there, we went into the woods to forage for mushrooms that later became part of a pappardelle. The guys also made a whole bunch of Sicilian street food with Fab's mom. It was a relief to watch them slowly eviscerate their nasty hangovers with some miraculous, homestyle Italian cooking. Hope you enjoy it.
