Panda to Sochi: Day 5

Today we had a very long drive from Bavaria to Vienna. At least it felt longer than the others before. We woke up at our hay hotel in Unterammergau and it was totally snowing. It was the perfect weather to leave the alps (not). But we sure were excited to go to Vienna.

After a long drive a lot of happy Nokia devices usage, we arrived in a city being in a state of emergency. A public protest was going on, streets where totally locked and many people with covered faces where on the streets. A city in riot!

It was a kind of our first test so far, we had to figure out how to get through the demo without any trouble, find our way to the Fiat headquarter called Motorvillage and had a formal shooting with Austria‘s Fiat Boss. We where amazed by the building and nice treatment there. We felt kind of at home.

Then we drove to a small corner-cinema where a skatemovie premiere of an Austrian rider took place. Actually we didn‘t get any tickets anymore, but that‘s how it is when a movie’s really good. Tickets sold out!

So we enjoyed the evening in the bar instead. Tomorrow we go for a special place outside of the city and visit a guy who built his own skatepark in the cellar of his home. Can‘t wait to see. In the meantime, follow the conversion on Twitter using the hashtag #pandatosochi or tell us about people and places we should come visit in YOUR home town by letting us now via 0043 660 525 0162.
