Revealed: Drake's Secret British Roots
Ah, Plymouth; the most polished jewel in the crown that is our nation's south coast. Our riviera, or very own Amalfi, if you will. It's a city of many rich cultural exports – the annual British Firework Championships, Olympic diver Tom Daley, former Nottingham Forest striker Trevor Francis – but there's one that might surprise you: multi-platinum selling, Cash Money rapper and singer, Drake.
The boy's clearly done good, so we headed down to Britain's favourite port to uncover just how cherished he is by Plymothians young and old alike. We examined the statue erected in his honour, looked at the island named after him from afar and heard about "half of America coming over in their droves" to see the birthplace of the man who brought crying back to hip hop.
