Arcade Fire's Win Butler Played Diplo in a Basketball Game

In the mid-2000s, Win Butler was involved in a really bizarre internet beef after he allegedly stole a guy's basketball at the YMCA. The guy started a now-defunct blog, arcadefirestolemybasketball.blogspot.com, and Win's brother Will made a statement that the dude was full of shit and no one stole anybody's basketball. The fact that the Arcade Fire frontman was going around possibly stealing balls at local gyms was pretty much everything we knew about Win's b-ball talents until now.

Today Stereogum reported that Win took the court against Diplo and friends while in Alabama for Hangout Festival. A short video from the game backs up the story, but unfortunately Win never touches the ball in the clip—doesn't even get his hands on a rebound after Diplo misses his shot. Maybe everybody was afraid to give Win the ball, given his allegedly sticky fingers in the past.
