Delicious with Mish Episode Four: Featuring Louise Burns

In this episode of Delicious with Mish, Mish Way of White Lung talks to pop veteran Louise Burns about a variety of things.

I know Louise Burns doesn’t like to think of herself as a veteran pop star, but in my eyes she is and that is very respectable. She’s also one of the most talented and beautiful women I know. Louise started her career as a fetus playing bass in the Maverick Records’ all-girl pop band Lillix. She did The Warped Tour, posed for teen magazines, got big in Japan and made music videos with Lindsay Lohan (you know, the ridiculous things we all do as kids!) When she finally came to her senses, Louise quit the pop world and after a little break, began to perform as a solo artist. She released her debut album Mellow Drama (Light Organ) last year, and currently plays with the band Gold & Youth. She’s working on a sophomore solo record (with some help from Sune Rose Wagner of The Ravonettes) however, this year Louise has been hired to go on tour as a keyboardist and back-up singer for Carly Rae Jepsen on The Justin Bieber Tour. I had so many questions. And Louise, being the sweetest, most professional person I know, was willing to drink some vodka and answer them.

So, in honor of Louise’s kick back into the pop world we decided to do an episode of Delicious dedicated to the stickiest of the bubble gum: POP! Louise tells stories of her days doing emotional Nelly covers in her apartment, Lillix fans sending her suicide notes and what she expects of The Beebs. We also discuss Avril and Chad Kroeger’s engagement because, duh, we are Canadian. It’s pretty much illegal if we don’t.

Thanks again to Louise Burns for being on the show!
