Cat 5 cables are high-speed Ethernet cables that audiophiles twist into pretty multi-coloured braids to create sound so delicate you or me would never hear the difference. Cat5, the band, are tech nerds, but they’re also girls, so they took their name from Hanna’s cat, who can do a proper high five (ie. Cat5).

So far Cat5 has only released one single, but after Le Tigre’s JD allegedly started passing it around it didn’t take long until Chicks on Speed Records came a’knocking. The track “Sexy” will be featured on a compilation of punk-y dance music and dance-y punk from the past 30 years, which will be released this spring. A full-length album is also planned for later this spring, released on Service/Universal.

Here’s the girlie thing again. You feel good when you feel sexy. Everyone should wear lace once in a while. Yeah! For days when lace feels boring we slip into our cherry print cotton panties. They are cute and really comfortable.

Yes, diamonds are a girl’s best friend, and especially our best friend. We love things that sparkle, and if you see us out at night you can spot us by our twinkling pieces of jewellery. And it’s not necessary to have the real stuff. Fake is great.
ARMANI CITY GLAM
We’re obsessed. This perfume exudes this wonderful sense of perfect that we can’t live without. And it’s pink too! Other perfumes often tend to loose its magic but City Glam only gets better and better the longer you wear it.
GRILLED CRAYFISH WITH GARLIC
You get it. When we go out to eat in our favourite Gothenburg pasta restaurant this delicious dish is our standing order. And with white whine added, the evening can’t go wrong.
THE KNIFE (CD)
These two siblings have inspired us for years. They do splendid, great fucking amazing music. We can listen to them whenever or wherever we are. The song called “Bird” takes us to another dimension where everything is beautiful.
MICROKORG
Our new babies arrived yesterday. We can’t live without these little cuties. Everything about them is great. They have sounds to kill for, and the design is outstanding. How can you not fall in love with them?
