Everyone wishes they could trot all over the globe documenting some of the most interesting and obscure stories in the world for all the desk jockeys to gawk at. Sure, it would be nice if I were, say, investigating the murder of activists in Brazil or looking for zombies in Haiti instead of sitting in a cold office with our associate editor's feet kicked up on her desk in front of my face while I stare at this computer screen on a Friday night. But we all have our roles to fill, and it just so happens that Santiago Stelley gets to do all of the exciting, global explorer junk.

Lucky for the rest of us, we'll have a chance to bask in the glow of his ragged cinematic genius at Santiago Stelley: The Wonderful Horrible Life of VICE, this Sunday in Williamsburg at UnionDocs. The program will feature screenings of classic VICE docs Sewers of Bogota, The Icelandic Skin Disease Mushroom Fashion Fiasco, Issei Sagawa, and Aokigahara Suicide Forest along with a discussion led by Santiago and his comrades Thomas Morton and Hamilton Morris.
