Secretly emptying a flask of Burnett's vodka into your Baja Blast at T-Bell has been a teenage rite of passage since its release in the early aughts. Now, we may soon live in a world where you can drink in Taco Bell without having to hide from the assistant manager. A new franchise in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood has applied for a liquor license, Eater reports. If the license is approved, it would be the first Taco Bell in the world to legally serve alcohol. A spokesman for Yum! Brands—the company that owns Taco Bell as well as KFC, Pizza Hut, Long John Silver's, and other fast food restaurants—said that the Wicker Park location will also have a "completely new urban restaurant design" to go along with the booze. The restaurant is set to open this summer.
