Petra Herbert was born in 1985 in Sibiu, Romania. She grew up in Germany and started studying photography in Bielefeld in 2006. In 2010, she graduated from the College of Communication London with a degree in photography and media. Since then, she's worked on various projects. One of the most compelling endeavors she's been involved in was I Don't Know What's Gotten into Me, which she contributed to alongside seven other women, with the goal of using photos to "re-establish relationships" and "push the boundaries of interaction".
