I went to an art opening last night with a friend knowing nothing about it except there would be tons of pictures of kitties. That was enough for us. Then we get there and it’s super packed and fucking James Iha is there. My friend freaks because she thinks she’s dressed like a middle school art teacher and can’t handle it so she ditches me and leaves. But I push further into the crowd and then hey, look at that…There’s that guy from the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s. Deeper and deeper, oh, there's Maggie Lee, who's so cute she should've been on the wall too. And there’s… my boss who doesn’t know me because I’m an intern. OK, so regardless of all that who's-who shit, go. The show’s called Animalania and it features cute stuff (um, a cat ripping from a bong? beat that) from some of our favorite artists, aka VICE contributors, and some funds from it go to helping animals.
