Los placeres gemelos de imaginar universos ficticios y ver con cuidado las fotos de otras personas se conectan en las surreales ilustraciones de Pierre Schmidt. Bajo el nombre de Dromsjel, el artista de Berlín comparte personajes vestidos con trajes de diversas épocas pasadas y una gama de colores delimitada, para transmutarlos hacia otras dimensiones con portales psicodélicos y anatomía deformada. Sus sujetos son, en su mayoría, mujeres capturadas en un gran rango de situaciones, desde un momento íntimo de amistad hasta poses en desnudo. No obstante los impresionantes colores y los sonrientes sujetos, sus dibujos tienen un tono indudablemente distópico. El envolvente ambiente de un portal que aplasta la identidad humana se vuelve demasiado lúgubre como para ser tomado a la ligera.
