Patrik Karlsson runs a website called This is not porn that features the best vintage celebrity photos ever. He scours the dusty and mothball-ridden corners of the internet to find photos that would otherwise have been lost to a time when nip slips and labia lips weren't disseminated all over the internet seconds after popping out. We asked Patrik to send us a few of his favorite photos and spoke to him about his love of antique celebrities.

Vice: How did you get into collecting old celebrity photos?
Patrik: I'm kind of nostalgic and I love old pictures. I really like going through my parents' photo albums. Celebrity photos are fun, but the ones you see in the papers and over the internet these days are just so absolutely boring and without any heart and soul. These old photos make me happy, so that's why I collect them and want to share them with others.

The internet is huge and you can find anything on it, that's all I can say. I also get photos sent to me from my readers, which I'm very thankful for.

Why do you call your site "This is not porn"?
Well, I bought the domain name with the intention to post photos that I found very sexy but that weren't actually porn – no nudity or anything like that. And that was what I posted in the beginning, but then I stumbled upon some old celebrity photos that I found fascinating and beautiful and thought it would be much more fun to dedicate the blog to rare celebrity photos. I still think these photos are quite sexy and they are definitely not porn, so the name still applies. The only bad part about the name is that some firewalls block my site thinking it's porn, even though the url clearly states it's not.

I'm unemployed with a close-to-finished Master of Science degree in Media Technology.

Why are these photos your favorites?
My favourite photos are the ones that capture a genuine smile or show the celebrities in situations you aren't used to seeing them in. To see them fool around and have fun is great, and the more random the better.

Who's your favourite celebrity?
It's hard to choose. But I would probably say the man in the first photo I posted, Bill Murray. He's just a truly awesome human being and every time I realise that I will never be close to as cool as him, I get a bit sad.

How often do you update the site?
My goal is to update at least once a week. I have quite a large folder with beautiful photos not yet posted, so don't worry, it will be a long time before I run out of material.
