After teasing a mysterious video clip earlier this month, British band Jamiroquai today confirmed a new album is on the way with "Automaton," the LP's lead single and title track.

The group shared "Automaton" via a music video, in which lead singer Jay Kay traverses a seemingly deserted world with his signature headgear in tow. The science-fiction imagery suits the song's synth-heavy, Tron-esque sound. Watch and listen above.

Kay said in a statement about the project, "The inspiration for Automaton is in recognition of the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today and how we as humans are beginning to forget the more pleasant, simple and eloquent things in life and in our environment including our relationship with one another as human beings."

Automaton will be released on March 31 via Virgin EMI. It follows Jamiroquai's last studio album, 2010's Rock Dust Light Star.
