E-Tomb: A High Tech Tombstone

Social networking from your grave.

We don’t want to get all morbid on everyone, but this was just too weird to pass up: an E-Tomb. We suppose it was only inevitable, no doubt like the Egyptian pharaohs of old, future generations living on Mars who come to excavate Earth after the last zombie has finally died will find us buried with our iPhones in the humming shadow of our digital tombstones. Combine this with one of those digital avatar clones and it won’t be long before you’re tweeting and updating your Facebook status from beyond the grave, “In the afterlife, lol.”

E-TOMB is a conceptual tomb for the information age. Its revolutionary aspect is that it can save the network information of the person passed away, such as blog, Facebook and so on, but only has the traditional function. E-TOMB is a destination for people’s network life voyage, which is also a new way for relatives and friends to remember the one passed away. They can visit the blog or Facebook etc, of the deceased by using mobile phones. E-TOMB has been designed for people in the information age to provide a more emotional form of tomb.
