Things have been getting a little hot and heavy over on the THUMP jukebox so we decided to throw some ice on it. With a velvety R&B vibe that many will covet but few will achieve, this thoroughly screwed pop ballad will scratch all of your slow jam itches. These lily-white Northerners have been coming out of the woodwork with more soul than a Sunday night gospel show, and Swiss remixer Pablo Nouvelle appears to have caught the bug. He strips the non-essential instruments out of the original radio-friendly mix, then takes Belgian singer Bo Saris' sugar sweet falsetto into a pool of codeine syrup and lets it marinate for a while. I'm not gonna talk about how I'm going through it right now because that would be tasteless but if I was this would definitely be my soundtrack of choice.The whole release is out October 21 on Deram Records.
