THE RAELIANS HAVE A BILLBOARD

There's an old saying about how people in glass houses should throw as many stones as possible, as long as they're tossing them from 100 feet up, by the side of the highway. Taking heed of that old adage, the Raëlian Church has set up an enormous billboard on the busy I-15 southbound freeway in Las Vegas reading "God is a Myth."

Brief Raëlian Primer: The Raëlians believe that life on Earth was established by a race of super advanced, humanoid extraterrestrials--the Elohim-- who've spent the duration of human history engineering life on Earth (feats which we Earthlings perceive as miracles. How do we know all this? Because roughly 40 years ago, the Elohim chose a messenger to deliver their gospel. That messenger, Claude Vorilhon, was a French auto-racing journalist until an encounter with the Elohim ambassador Yahweh (aka "I am who am" of Old Testament fame) convinced him to change his name and establish the Raëlian Church.

This development interests us because a few whiles back we photographed a bunch of Rael babes, or a "Autopop of Raels" as their collection is properly known.

Ricky Roehr, head Raelian of the North American Raelian Movement, says his church erected the billboard to counter the dozens of Bibley, Christian billboards along the road. And to waste colossal amounts of money propagandizing a demographic that will no doubt find the topless outings/philosophies of a sexually promiscuous UFO cult totally reasonable.
