Jaromir Jagr Made a Sandwich for a Photo-Thirsty Paparazzo Camped outside His House

And gave him a banana. Jagr is the best.

Jaromir Jagr's cooking skills are being put to test this offseason.

The 44-year-old Florida Panthers winger is a popular man in his home country of Czech Republic, especially after winning his 12th Golden Hockey Stick award as the best Czech player. But with fame and success often comes the paparazzi.

On Monday, Jagr and his girlfriend Veronica noticed a photographer waiting outside his Czech home, looking to snap some pictures of the hockey legend. Jagr eventually approached the photographer, filming the entire experience to give hockey fans a dose of entertainment during a slow offseason, and proceeded to tear the man apart, saying (courtesy Puck Daddy, which translated the conversation):

Are you proud of what you do? Are not you ashamed of the way you make money? This is not to snap a few photos, it's more spying.

When it became obvious the photo-thirsty paparazzo wasn't ready to leave, Jagr looked deep into his heart and decided to have a snack prepared for his hungry admirer, bringing him a sandwich and banana. After all, Jagr explained to the man when he brought him the food, "You deserve this for your patience. Hockey taught me to respect my opponents."

Jagr can only hope his nice deed keeps the paparazzi satisfied until the end of summer, because, as the NHL's oldest player notes at the end of his video, "It's not always fun to be popular."

Just another reason why Jagr is the best.
