Calvin Harris is in the New Entourage Movie (Along with an Exploding DJ Adrian Grenier)

The new trailer starts like most of our nights do: in a blue-hued Asian metropolis with Adrian Grenier DJing in a dark hoodie.

Monday night, Calvin Harris teased his followers with a mock movie poster for a film titled "HYDE". Adorned with the glowing face of Vincent Chase (the fictional lead character played by Adrian Grenier in the HBO series "Entourage") and both of their names in thin font, the image caused many in the music community to question what Harris' role might be, if any, in the highly-anticipated feature length Entourage movie. Now, with the release of the official trailer, everything has become clear. Well… sort of.

The trailer starts like most of our nights do: in an unidentified, blue-hued Asian metropolis with Adrian Grenier in a dark hoodie, DJing on a pedestal. Hedonistic youth writhe and intertwine on the dancefloor. So far, everything looks normal. Typical Tuesday, right, guys? The camera pans out and an immaculate Calvin Harris is staring across the crowd into the mysterious void. His eyes are focused. Determined, even. SWAT teams arrive and begin pointing semi-automatic weapons into the crowd. Laser targets cover Grenier's body and we get another shot of Harris looking as solemn as ever. Grenier's voice takes over. "All good parties must end," he whispers as molotov cocktails fly towards the riot shields of crouching policemen. Arms raised, Grenier activates a device and his body begins glowing. Is he about to explode? Is this an elaborate Kandi getup? The trailer is paused and Ari Gold (played by Jeremy Piven) erupts with anger before we can find out.

What can we ascertain about the fictional Vincent Chase-directed "HYDE" and Calvin Harris' now confirmed role in it? First, someone probably explodes. This is the best case scenario. Second, Calvin Harris isn't the one DJing so that suggests his role is more sinister. Could Harris and Chase be on competing record labels? Did Grenier steal one of Harris' songs and pass it off as his own? Is Harris the one that called in the SWAT teams or are they on the same side? Maybe the whole party is just HARD Faux-Asia with seriously over-the-top production.

All we can say for sure is that it's great to see a film where a prominent musician isn't forced into a stereotypical DJ role. This actually looks exciting.
