Aaron Rodgers Pump Fakes Defender Out Of His Shoes

Rashad Jones bit on this Aaron Rodgers pump fake hook, line, and sinker. And he looked pretty silly doing it, too.

Aaron Rodgers is a great passer on the run, so it's always something for defenders and would-be tacklers to think about when he scrambles. Rashad Jones was surely thinking that as he jumped damn near out of the stadium when he bit on Rodgers's pump fake in the third quarter today in Miami.

On second-and-nine from the Green Bay 31, the pocket collapsed around Rodgers and he took off for the sideline. He looked like he was going to come up short for the first down, but he bought himself the full nine yards with a very subtle and very believable pump fake. Jones bought it entirely and jumped to try to defend the pass he was so sure was coming. The Packers took it the rest of the way and Rodgers capped off the 80-yard, eight-minute drive with a five-yard touchdown to Randall Cobb.
