This is the video for "Creature Feature" by Springtime Carnivore, who are not a band, but rather a one-woman project. According to the lady behind SC, she started demoing music "while recovering from a nearly tragic tightrope accident." We suspect this may be a ruse but in any case the video is the fourth in a succession of cool, sepia-tinted shorts. This one opens with a creepy story about a 1955 swimsuit contest in Florida and a bunch of crocodiles—hold on till the reveal—meanwhile the song plays out with the vinyl-crackled charm of some forgotten 60s pop hit.Springtime Carnivore will be recording her debut LP with Richard Swift (The Shins) this winter.
