Considering most new rap music these days sounds like you're on your third level of Super Saiyan, the laid back nature and lush melodies of "Platforms" is a bit refreshing. A co-worker described it as "the opening of an anime," which is as accurate as anything I'll come up with here. We have no idea what M.I.A. plans to do with this song or if this means there's a new album, but hey, we're talking about M.I.A. again.
