Filmmaker Aaron Aites has been recently diagnosed with kidney cancer. Aites is perhaps best-known for directing the 2009 documentary Until The Light Takes Us, which took a hard look at the black metal scene, getting interviews from the likes of Varg Vikernes, Fenriz and more. Aites film work also extends to work outside of music, including 99%: The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film. On each of these films, he co-created them with his wife, Audrey Ewell.
