Nick Cave's Son Has Died After Falling From a Cliff in the UK

Arthur Cave, has been found dead after falling from an 18-metre cliff near his home in Brighton, England.

Arthur Cave, the teenage son of Australian musician Nick Cave, has been found dead after falling from an 18-metre cliff.

The 15-year-old fell from Ovingdean Gap, near Brighton and was found at 6pm on Tuesday.

Members of the public carried out first aid on the teenager before he was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he died of his injuries.

According to the Guardian, the family's home was around five kilometres from where Arthur was found.

The death is now being handled by the coroner's officer and is not being treated as suspicious.

The teenager is one of Cave's two sons with wife Susie Bick.

Cave and Bick issued a statement: "Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time."

London’s Daily Telegraph reported that his twin brother left flowers and a note on the beach.
The note read: "Arthur - I love you so much. You were a joy to be around and I will never forget you. You were the best brother I could ever ask for. Earl."

Nick Cave is best known for leading Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, which formed in Melbourne in 1983. Previously, he performed in the influential post-punk band The Birthday Party.

Cave has four sons, two from previous relationships as well as Arthur and Earl.

Arthur and Earl, both appeared in Cave's 2014 biopic 20,000 Days On Earth.
