The Noisey Tracks of The Year: 10-1

The UK Noisey office picks their top 10 tracks of the year.

10 - Dead In The Dirt: "The Blaring Eye"

At a time when metal is so obsessed with the past it may as well be rockabilly, and hardcore is just Wavey Garms with guitars, pasty vegan straight edge grindcore kids Dead In The Dirt are flying the flag for fucking psychos who are militant about their unreasonable social goals ("no to veganism, no to sobriety and no to grindcore!" said everyone but them, ever). I guess that makes them one of the few truly angry acts in heavy music right now - which is sort of the point of that stuff, when you think about it. Robert Foster

9 - Redinho: "Searching"

8 - Drake: "Hold On, We're Going Home"

7 - Justin Timberlake: "Mirrors"

6 - WRONG SONG REMEMBER TO CHANGE TOMORROW

Massive props to Night Slugs and their sister imprint Fade 2 Mind for championing a living, breathing, exciting R&B singer, rather than just rinsing out disconnected vocal samples like scores of others. Kelela and Kingdom have delivered a stand-out for her gorgeous 'Cut 4 Me' mixtape; truly sublime modern R&B.

5 - Action Bronson: "Strictly 4 My Jeeps"

4 - Kanye West: "On Sight",

3 - Sky Ferreira: "You're Not The One"

2 - Hauro: "HADE + DWFL"

1 - Pusha T: "Numbers On The Boards"
